The ENIB was created in 1961, and is part of the French Ministry of National Education’s group of schools of engineering. It is accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs (Commission for Engineering Qualifications).
The ENIB trains engineers in electronics, computer science and mechatronics.
Our engineers are capable of modeling complex systems in a coherent manner and of mastering all stages of the process, from understanding to design, from production to implementation and operations.

COURSES AT THE ENIB

The standard duration for courses at the ENIB is 5 years for students admitted in the 1st semester and 3 years for students admitted in the 5th semester of study.

Study at the ENIB is divided into semesters (semesters S1 to S10) and intersemesters (intersemesters IS1 to IS3).  Each semester takes place twice, in the autumn and in the spring, with intersemesters taking place between the autumn and spring sessions. Students’ attendance is compulsory for each of these teaching sessions.

Students’ studies include two cycles:

 - an integrated foundation cycle made up of four semesters (semesters S1 to S4) and two intersemesters (IS1 and IS2), which provides students with the basic knowledge required for future engineers in the fields of science, languages and personal development.

- the undergraduate engineer cycle made up of 6 semesters (semesters S5 to S10) and 1 intersemester (IS3), constitutes the professional course which leads to the issuing of an ENIB engineering degree.

Students learn to play an important role in their own education, choosing their own path in terms of their studies depending on their own personal and professional aspirations. During the undergraduate course, students choose an option (electronics , computer science,  mechatronics , professional services ) which enables them to specialise in the subject that will best suit their future career. They can also choose to complete the final year of their course elsewhere by choosing one of our transfer or exchange programmes : a professional contract, a research masters, an academic semester in another school within the ENI group, an academic semester abroad, a joint degree scheme abroad with an academic partner, an internship with a humanitarian organisation or charity, etc.
