The STAGE System

A virtual reality training system for students.

The STAGE system, is a narrative driven scenario tool which allows to design training and therapeutic scenario with high level scripting language, e.g for public speaking training system or public speaking anxiety treatment. It provides a fine control of the virtual audience by affecting its attitude with various non-verbal behaviours, backchannel, natural reactions and narrative cues. Hence it includes a vizualisation tool and a web graphical user interface that we successfuly integreted in a Scientific Writing and Presentation Seminars for postgraduate and undergraduate the University of Würzburg in Germany .

Virtual ELOcution

Virtual Reality exposure therapy for people who stutter.

This project is still under development at the HCI Group from Würzburg and aims at providing a responsive therapy environment in VR to help the therapist and the patients during there sessions. Thanks to a high quality environment, believable virtual agents and dedicated Graphical user interfacs we hope our prototype could facilitate the use of Virtual Reality in exposure therapy for stuttering. Bas de Siam

Crowd Simulation.

This project simulate a part of Brest city center called "Bas de Siam" and populates it with virtual agents. The Virtual Audience is used to handle agents' movements and behaviours. This project aims at providing to therapist a flexible environment where they can experiment new therapy scenario for people with social disabilities. The system is currently developped by master students and co-supervised by Anne-Gwenn Bosser, Olivier Augereau and me on technical aspects.

Virtual Audiences System (VAS)

Virtual audience behaviour model implementation.

The Virtual attitudes project, is an opensourced plugin developped for Unreal Engine. This plugin is the implementation of our virtual audience behaviour model. This model is a rule based behaviour model using two dimensions to represent our audiences' attitudes perception, the first dimension is the valence which correspond to the perceived audience's opinion toward the speech and the second one is the arousal which is the perceived audience's engagement toward the speech. The system allow you to create your own rules or to use the defined one from the our model. In order to get more information on the evaluation you can check out the dedicated page.
