Investment Projects (document in French) The vocational tax is a compulsory tax as specified by the decree associated with article 229 of French Tax Law. Since 2006, payment of this tax to the OCTA (Vocational Tax Organisation) has become compulsory for companies in France. The ENIB is accredited to receive vocational tax in the following categories; · C Level 1 educational establishments (Bac +5 and above) and, · B Level 2 (Bac +3/4) and 3 (Bac +2) educational establishments. You may donate the amount of your choice to the ENIB by specifying your wishes to the OCTA. In this case, you should: · give the name of our establishment: Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Brest, · give our RNE code: 0290119X, · specify the amount you wish to donate to us, The discharge receipt will be sent to you by the OCTA. You must make your donation to the OCTA of your choice before the 28 February 2010 in order to avoid penalty payments! In order to be able to trace your donation, please complete and return the promise of donation, specifying your OCTA and the total amount of your donation to our school. The vocational tax is paid by companies with employees, and which conduct commercial or industrial activities. Companies, groups or associations with an industrial or commercial tax status are all subject to this tax. The amount of the vocational tax is calculated according to the salaries paid to all staff during the past year. The standard rate of payment for the Vocational Tax is 0.5% of the aggregate employment earnings for all companies. This rate rises to 0.6% for those with more than 250 employees and those with less than 3% of permanent employees under 26 years old. This tax is broken down as follows: · 52% which is used to finance apprentice schemes and the National Fund for the Development and Modernisation of Learning (FNDMA), · 48% which can be donated to higher education establishments and spread over the 3 levels, A, B et C.
